Check out the new ConnectX Mobile app (we call it the Nexus Mobile app here) - it’s built from the same code as the ConnectX Desktop client, so you get a seamless experience whether you’re on mobile or desktop.

One app, one network bringing the ConnectX community together on all your devices!

You can now grab the ConnectX Mobile app through open testing on the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and Amazon Appstore, so feel free to download and give it a spin.

If you’re using the older Native ConnectX Legacy Mobile app (we refer to it as Nexus Legacy), you can install the new unified Nexus Mobile app right alongside it and easily move your existing social profile over (check out the "Migrating Data from Nexus Legacy to Nexus" section below for details).

"The future of connection is in your hands. Chat freely with confidence and unlock your social potential."

What’s Next for the Mobile App?

The Nexus Mobile app kicked off as a version of the Nexus Desktop code, tailored for smaller screens, and it’s on its way to becoming a fully mobile-friendly experience. This update already packs in a bunch of features from ConnectX Desktop, like:

  • Managing your groups (for group admins)

  • Language support (Settings → Language & Region) - currently, we’ve got English, Portuguese, and Hindi, with more languages on the way.

  • Event invites in Chat (just hit the "📅" next to the chat input → Create Event) - easily set up and send RSVPs right in the chat.

  • Filter store (tap the Camera icon - the last one on the left in the story input) - grab some awesome AR filters, including free packs.

  • Universal Handle (UH) usernames - link your existing UH name to your Nexus profile or snag a new one.

  • Video links and Reel previews check out previews for links and clips.

  • Text size management (Settings → Appearance → Text Size) - adjust the text size to your liking throughout the app.

  • Keep track of sent, pending, and ignored follow requests (Settings Privacy → Pending/Ignored requests) - view your pending follow requests.

  • Mark messages as unread.

  • Search through your follower list.

  • Search within a DM thread.

  • Check out the app on the Google Play Store: [Link Placeholder]

  • For Apple users: It’s in the App Store Review we’ll share the link once it’s ready.

  • Amazon Appstore: Our dev team is working on it, and we’ll drop the link when it’s live.

Just a heads up: the team is rolling out updates pretty fast, so you might notice some hiccups while it’s still in open testing. We’re aiming to launch the production version with the next Desktop and Mobile updates, which should be in about two to three weeks!
